Book with Caution
I have a number of things I could say about the George and Dragon, but the most concerning was being told I hadn't paid for my room when it was booked using a rewards night in November as they no longer work with Expedia - my booking was through hotels.com The hotel did not recognise that my booking was paid for and asked that I pay and then sort it out later. My seven year old was very upset, thinking that she would have to sleep in the car. I wasn't the only booking with this issue.

Good accommodations to look at
It’s a quaint pub built in the 1700s I believe. The room was nice however there was no water pressure in the shower and the bathroom was oddly put together. It would be a nice pun to eat or drink at, but I wouldn’t recommend staying in a room.

2/10 Poor

Damp, smelly, cold - avoid.
Pitch dark car park with lots of trip hazards. No food available several nights of the week. Damp, draughty, noisy room with peeling wall paper. I refused to stay in the hotel and left within 5 minutes. Unable to get refund. Not sure how the single other review was 10 !

Overnight stay
A wonderfully quirky hotel in a lovely old village with plenty of history & loads of great places to visit within a short distance.
