The check-in lobby was so large that it couldn't be compared to any other hotel or resort, and the sea view through the floor-to-ceiling windows was stunning. I especially loved the hotel pool. Although I couldn’t use the extraction in the middle, I was able to enjoy activities in the pool with paddleboards and single paddle boats. There was a variety of restaurants and facilities, making the experience unique, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I booked through Hotels.com, and I was truly touched when they upgraded my room. I definitely want to visit again next time.

I had an amazing stay at AVA Resort Cancun! The service and staff were exceptional—everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The highlight of our stay was definitely the long saltwater pool. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, with plenty of space to swim or just lounge by the water. Although not all the restaurants were open yet, we still had enough options to try something new every day. We’re already looking forward to our next trip to try the ones we couldn’t fit into this stay. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend AVA Resort for anyone looking for a top-notch getaway in Cancun!

This resort is exceptionally exquisite and convenient. Management and staff is very welcoming and friendly. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. My rooms were upgraded at no cost to accommodate my family on one floor. Every restaurant is fine dining with an extensive menu. Also, they made a special effort for my daughter’s birthday. Will definitely be visiting again.

Forgot my car key in the hotel room. I called the front desk who's transferred me three times. The loss prevention representative told me I had to send an email request out, and she advised me she would call me back to have someone check the safe, but she never did. I had to call back just to be given the runaround. I did not get my key back and had to pay 1k for a replacement part. Word of advice: ensure you have everything before checking out because you'll probably not get your property back.

This property is not near any restaurants or even on a nice beach like the hotels in the hotel zone. The beach is a lagoon with brown water, and alligators in the area. They advertised all the restaurants in the hotel, however only a handful of them are open. Beware, the hotel is still under construction and the top two floors are under construction, including many parts of the hotel. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport, so you are burdened by the flights coming in and out. The lagoon pool was nothing to write home about either. The liner pool must have been leaking due to the water diminishing daily. The food and drinks were good at most of the restaurants, but you have to ask for the top-shelf liquors. However, the staff was amazing!

Loved the food as well as service in restaurants and poolside. Our room was swept out mopped. Just had beds made which was annoying as we did venture to the beach a few times. The kids club does not allow parts to come in with the kids and the kids need to do the scheduled activity. They aren't allowed to just go and play which was unfortunate. The is family time from 4-5 though. Bathroom intermittently had sewage smell which we couldn't figure out as someone's it smells great and others was just terrible. Even with everything fully open I doubt we will be back.

Horrible stay, they are not ready to be opened yet. The employees barely know what’s going on. you ask them a question and they act clueless. Nothing to do at the hotel, I wasn’t expecting the food to be out of this world or anything but it was horrible. They barely even had food at the buffet. We ordered a Uber to take us to a park and they didn’t even let them in because of a policy. Ridiculous. When u book they promise you 14 restaurants out of 17 to be opened and only 4 were open at the time. I stayed during the first days of this beautiful hotel and I can say that it was a pleasant experience. It is correct that everything is new, including the staff, but there was no moment where I felt that things were missing, I think that at this moment it is just enough to have a very good vacation, with few people and fast service. Unfortunately, the sargassum problem also affects this hotel and the beach is not at its best, however, they have a giant lagoon-type pool that made me not miss the beach, the service of the waiters at the pool is super warm, always attentive to what you need and running to get what they don't have on hand. The big surprise was the food, which we loved, we really enjoyed our dinner at the Steakhouse restaurant and the tacos outside the Copal restaurant. The rooms, although we had some minor setbacks, are very comfortable, the pillows are the best I have ever slept on (I even checked what brand they were so I could buy some for my house), impeccable cleanliness and all with an ocean view, perfect for watching the sunrise. I think that in the future it will be one of the best hotels in Cancun, it seems that they are making a great effort to achieve it, so I will surely return once everything is open

After a couple of negative reviews, we still decided to go visit this property. Overall, it is good. I will detail some pros and cons. Pros: 1. New and stylish. This property is very new, and the design is modern with a unique taste. I have to say they put a lot of effort into it. By walking in the property, I feel enjoyable. 2. The restaurants are well presented. Six restaurants: Asian, French, Italian, Mexican, Steakhouse and Mediterranean. The food is decent, the design is special to the restaurant theme, and the service is tentative. My favorite is the steakhouse and French. However, the Asians and French are adults only. 3. The bakery is a surprise. They have a really good bakery chef and you'll love the pastry and coffee there. 4. The kids club is really huge and there are many activities to get involved in, though the lighting is very "disco" style. Not sure why they dim the light for the kids club. Cons: 1-The buffet is definitely below average. Only breakfast and lunch are provided. Stations are spread and disorganized. Options are very limited. No mussels or fresh shrimp, let alone lobster or oysters. Very disappointed. 2-Staff are friendly but some are English limited, thus there might be some communication difficulties. 3-Many places are not open yet, for example the floating thing on the bay and the laser tag. I heard they will have another 6 months until fully open. 4-Mosquitos were everywhere. Not sure if it's the season or this property.
