Reid's Palace, A Belmond Hotel, Madeira

10/10 Excellent
"Reid’s Palace was easily one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the level of service and attention to detail was incredible. They personally showed us around the hotel and our room, and from there, the service never stopped. Our room was serviced several times throughout the day, and every evening we came back to thoughtful little gifts and special touches waiting for us. It felt like they were constantly anticipating what we might need before we even had to ask. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, but what really sets Reid’s Palace apart is the service. Everything feels intentional, personal, and incredibly polished. You truly feel taken care of from the moment you arrive until you leave. We have stayed at several beautiful places in Europe, but Reid’s Palace was in a category of its own. It’s more than just a luxury hotel—it’s an experience. Absolutely top tier and worth every penny. We would stay here again without hesitation"

  4. Consider your location: Staying closer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes at a higher cost. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the places you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels situated further out, which are usually likely to be more affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
