Price & location good, room position not so
Handy location for my business trip, positioned right next to a swimming pool with adult music classes on tho into early evening so couldn’t hear the tv for shouting… not ideal, cold tiled floor too, I guess they followed thru with the flooring.. wasn’t very cosy and probably wouldn’t stay again, sorry.

Disappointed
Nice setting, clean, comfy bed. A lot of flies, coming out of hibernation once heating was on? Spiders x 5. Disappointed with breakfast, freeze dried coffee, no filter, no jam for toast, apples in a bowl. Cereal , 3 choices in a plastic server. Expensive for experience.

More like an AIRBnB
Didn't really feel like a hotel I would book for a holiday relaxation. Felt more like an airBnB.

We really enjoyed our stay, once we met the owners they were very welcoming. We were left to get on with breakfast, enjoyed swimming in the pool and there was a lovely garden that the children were encouraged to play in.

Little room big space
Was a nice room. But wow was it roasting hot. We could find anywhere of turning the heating down or off so had a very hot night, even with fans on. The toilet however had no heating so was the opposite and freezing. Nice to have our own little room but think it was too pricey, compared to the many other hotels we stay in for major race events. Breakfast was toast, yogurts or 3 choices of cereal, nothing for vegetarians and not really a continental as offered.

Great having a pool to swim in morning and evening. Ronnie was very friendly and helpful. Bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very basic but adequate.

Not great
It was self check in. The path to the room was very dark, needs lighting, dangerous if you have mobility issues, can't see!!! There was an issue in the room, but could not get any answer at reception and phone number kept going to voicemail. So not very good at all. There was only a small electric heater, not sufficient to warm the room. Room was OK, bed OK, but overall not happy.

Aldercarr hotel
Did not like the self service breakfast, should have had a full breakfast service and fresh coffee. Thought that was pretty lazy for a hotel.

Value for money
Used hotel as a central location for house hunting. Room was clean and well presented - only issue is that the wash basin was little small. The premises - ie pool and restuarant were all clean and the staff/owners were really friendly. Breakfast was as described ie a simple continental and we had no complaints with the hotel.

I found it quite odd that there was nobody to greet you , no real check in Room was ok , bed could have been much more comfortable Quiet peaceful location

Don't hesitate book it
Last minute night away , lovely welcome from owner showed us where we could park ,how to get to our room and chatted to us for bit, lovely man. Was about 7:30 pm when arrived so we popped are bags in room and then went local town for food , later after back we went to swimming pool for hour was absolutely lovely sooo warm and inviting spent over hour in there had to ourselves ,back in room we got into comfy beds and watched tv before sleeping , In morning got up early went to sweet little diy breakfast bar in conservatory plenty of choice of drinks hot and cold. And choices of cereals ,toast , yogurts and fruit. Definitely would stay again such a hidden gem truly a beautiful place, thank you

Rooms smelt damp. Pool water green, carpet around pool smelt damp. Shower goes from boiling to freezing without touching anything - unable to use! Breakfast basic, and room freezing. Can hear people in the room next door. Avoid

Different
It was self check in, an email with instructions and your room number. Find your room, key on bed waiting for you. Breakfast is now continental, help yourself. No staff what so ever. Bread for toast, jams, yogurts, three types of cereal, orange juice, milk and water. Variety of teas, coffee and hot chocolate. Fruit in a fruit bowl.

Good things; quiet, comfy bed, bottled water, shower gel & hand wash. Bad things; car park full, uneven path to room, lack of cleanliness (e.g. hair in both plug holes, used contact lenses from previous occupant had been left on bedside table & carpet not clean), breakfast area not clean with lack of food choices, hot tub broken (we did not know this until the day before we arrived when I asked about it). lack of swimming pool availability, only 1 toilet roll, poor TV signal.

When we arrived, it looked a nice place, ample parking and nice room with comfy bed but certainly not luxury as advertised. Eye level kettle, which I considered dangerous so placed on floor. Dirty shelves and mirror. No welcome pack. When arrived back at night, the light wasn't working to light the dark path back to our room. Paths are crumbling and dangerously uneven. Patio has lots of plant pots filled with dead plants and weeds. Sticky beakfast room table with one thin paper napkin only each. 'continental' breakfast consisted of a choice of 3 careals and toast with apples and oranges. No choice of juice, only orange. Place was generally run down and pooly maintained, will not be returning, pleased we only booked for the one night.

RUDE!
twin room booked for work colleagues who arrived and were told that the room was no longer available, when contacted via telephone to query this, the gentleman on reception was rude and would not allow me to query the issue. judging from other reviews on the internet, this establishment needs to invest in some additional customer service and hospitality training.

For the first time in my life I caused sufficient aural distress to the neighbouring room that they knocked the door to ask more to stop the noise. Paper-thin walls, supersensitive hearing or deafness on my part - I didn't think my mobile phone was that loud?? Whatever - nice location, a bit pretentious to call this a 'hall', but well presented, with a pool and spa if you're into such things. Good enough room for working in, poor DIY breakfast. Maybe my feelings would have been different if I was on hols., but I wouldn't;t choose to stay here again on business. Self service check in and no staff around at all was different!

Tired, cold and dated
Stayed here with my husband as it looked like a convenient location to use as a base for visiting Norwich. Its advertised like a spa hotel, in reality its a glorifed b&b... which is fine in itself but not what we expected. We provided my dietary requirements when we booked but nothing was provided. Breakfst was served in a freezing cold, dark side room, minimal effort, there wasnt any water in tje kettle and there was no tap to fill it. The rooms themsevles were also cold, and the decor was plain and tired. The rooms felt like they jad been diy-ed on a budget... doors and walls were paper thin and we could hear next doors conversation. Very disappointing
