Won’t be returning, definitely not value for money
On our return journey we got a different accessible room. Sadly, the carpet was still bulging beside the bed. Trip hazard for not only the disabled person, but me also! This time I questioned the parking charge of £7 on top of the £136 stay (including breakfast). This does make me think of whether it’s value for money, and I’m afraid not. The stool in the bathroom was dangerously small and wobbly. The bathroom flooded. There was one tissue left in the box and after ordering room service and paying in the room, I got into nightwear to relax only to get a call from reception to ask me to go down and pay as the machine often doesn’t work in the rooms!!! I got dressed and went down, but had to ask for the room service charge of £3.50 to be removed. As the theme park was closed, the hotel was extremely quiet, yet staff watched me struggle with my bags (hubby in wheelchair) with no offer of help. As we left, no one from reception bothered to look up to say goodbye. The one saving grace was the girl serving at breakfast. I didn’t get her name, but she deserves a pay rise! She was the only person who knows what customer service is about, thank you to her
