Sharp rocky waters. Food not great. No shuttle
Food is not too bad but not good either, 2.5/5 for food. The beach and the swimming pools are extremely crowded, it’s very hard to find a spot on the pools or the beach, and no one to help us find a spot or move the beach chairs for us. It was a daily struggle. The beach looks white sand in pictures, but that’s deceiving, because once you step into the water it will be all sharp rocks that’s impossible to walk on, so your only option is the swimming pools. This resort doesn’t have a shuttle to/from the airport, which is very unusual for an all inclusive resort. This is a big problem because brokers (dressed in a fake transportation company shirts) take advantage of tourists at the airport and charge 170$ for one way to the hotel, they will make it look like as if you have no choice but to pay the $170 for the taxi. Shame on the resort, you shouldn’t let your guests go through this. And shame on the Mexican authorities, why Ubers aren’t allowed to enter the airport? Why there’s no public transportation?. To be honest, I get it, you’re all collaborators, hotel, people in the airport, authorities, collaborate to milk as much money from tourists as you can even if it was inappropriate.

Our shower smelt like sewage& kid’s club was small
Our room phone wasn’t working, and despite sending multiple messages via the app and WhatsApp, we received no response and had to go to the concierge, which was understaffed. While the all-inclusive package was convenient, we couldn’t book any restaurants during our three-night stay as they were all fully booked. The kids’ club was basic, closed at 5 PM, and required an extra fee for access to the “family path” and additional facilities. The location was isolated, with no nearby places within walking distance, and no complimentary shuttle was provided. The beach water smelled like sewage, and our bathroom and shower also had a persistent odor, which detracted from the experience.

Our stay was actually on the Sunset side; an extension of a week stay. We enjoyed our visit enough to make it a day longer. Both sides of the properties, I walked them each day, were clean, orderly and the exterior of the rooms appeared to be the same.

Amazing All Inclusive Resort
Upon arrival, the service was great, the staff were all friendly, helpful, and informative. When arriving they make sure to get you and your luggage checked in quickly, so you’re able to enjoy your stay as possible. Drinks, food, shows and service were wonderful. They also have a shuttle ($4/per person) to take you down to Playa Del Carmen, an endless streets of vendors, restaurants and shops. Beach access and a ton of activities + excursions (at an extra costs). Great choice for an all inclusive!

This is not a bad place to stay.
Pros Lots of pools, chairs, and beach. Could be the time of year but not crowded. Lots of bars and bar tenders. You generally must go to a bar for service but they were there to serve. Lots of places to eat with a variety of resturants and buffets with long hours. Food was available from 6am to 11pm. Swim up rooms are great. Lots of places to sit and talk. Cons Super smart animals. Great for photos but they will get in you bags at the pool and beach and get in your room if you dont latch the door or while housekeeping is in your room. Housekeeping can just walk in. Big place so they are cleaning on a rotating schedule and into the evening. Get a door block. Food was hit or miss. I loved some of the preparations but the misses were big. Piles of warm sushi, grilled vegetables in oil water, sausages that were cooked into firewood. TIPS Lots of photo opportunities so be prepared. If ypu like taking pics or if you are an artist of any type. Be prepared to walk. Big resort but worth it. The room hallways connect so you can stay dry in the rain or stay out of the sun. Learn the map so you dont miss out on all the things offered. For families there are lots of kid things, for couple lots of privacy. The is not a lot of entertainment in the evening so plan accordingly. I was solo so I noticed more than others. There are entertainment events most nights. I will back to this resort. I had photos but the software was glitching and i couldnt add them.

4/10 Fair

The property was overall beautiful. It was well maintained. The rooms were large and well appointed with many amenities. Unfortunately, the were a bit dark and dated in parts but for an older hotel that is to be expected. The service was inconsistent and lack for the most part. You got some people who did an excellent job but for the most part patrons were ignored and their issues were not handled with any decency. While there we were traveling with two small children (2 and 7) and there was nothing for them to do on a rainy day because the kids club is exclusively for those who book in the family section yet so the children who aren't in that section have no special activities they can participate in without paying an extra charge. When I left my room (for what I thought was the last time), at 8:35am in the morning to go to the front desk to check out, I realized I was missing my jacket and sneakers (which were left on my bed in the hurry to get out) so I hurried back to get them only to find the things left in the room picked over and my valuable sneakers and jacket missing. I went to the front desk to report it but all I recieved was "you left them in the room and they were removed to go to the lost and found...you left them" all while I have the room keys in my hand because I have not checked out yet. So I had to return to Canada without them with no attempt to help me from the front desk. I would not recommend going to this place at all now.

This was the worst experience ever, don’t stay here!! My family and I stayed it here and we never had anyone come to clean our room. People were leaving trash outside the rooms since no one will come to clean. I have a two year old child and it was so frustrating to struggle to get food. The staff members went on strike and nothing was open everything was closed. We payed extra for the amenities and we had to go to another hotel to pay day pass to be able to eat and enjoy the beach. The hotel is nice but it’s very dirty.
