Beware! Awful terrible scam hotel
This place is terrible. On arrival we were immediately pressured to upgrade our stay to get premium experience, we eventually relented because the whole process was taking so long and we just wanted to get to get something to eat. Before getting to our room we had to stop again and talk with what turned out to be a timeshare salesman. Finally got to the room at 5:30 and started looking for a restaurant but were told no food available until 6:00 pm, unless we ordered room service which would take 45 minutes. We figured we would just walk around and check things out waiting for the buffet to open. We were appalled by the trash all over in the water, broken railings, dead poinsettias, the place looked very sad. This was not the 5 star experience we had booked and asked the manager if we could check out and get a refund. He said not an option, but here is the representative from hotels.com, she will make everything better. She was at first helpful, but the last straw was when I asked about my resort credit she said oh, yes here is a coupon book for discounts around the resort (with lots of restrictions). I said no, I have spa reservations for the morning and plan to use my resort credit. She said I’ll talk to the manager in the morning, but in the morning both she and the manager said no. We had a very uncomfortable situation with the staff, I wish I had more space to write! We ultimately checked out after so much stress! Be warned!
