Great value in Cozumel!
We spent a week in Cozumel at Iberostar. We decided to stay a few extra days, so we booked two nights at El Cid. Wow, what a difference in the room quality - we were blown away at how much nicer the room was for 1/3 of the Iberostar price. The service and food were excellent too. Our only complaint was that the check-in process was a little inefficient. We are going back in two months!

What makes El CID so wonderful is the staff! Everyone is very accommodating, smiling and thoughtful. From Roger in entertainment, Ari, who greets you at the door every day, Waitstaff, Wendy times two, Juan, Alberto, bartenders Erik and Ernesto. Yes, it is a smaller resort, but that’s what we like about it. Very clean and convenient to shopping by just walking. Watching the cruise ships come in and out was incredible. The grounds are immaculate. The food and drinks were awesome. Thank you El cid For a wonderful stay! We will be back next year for sure!

Stayed at El Cid many times, like the location with shopping and transportation options within short walking deistance. On the ocean side. most all rooms have ocean views, snorkeling right there within a few steps on property. Small family like atmosphere as opposed to the mega resorts, but still has all the amenities as larger resorts.
