2/10 Poor

The worst hostel ive ever stayed in. The cleanliness is very poor, poo on the wall in the middle toilet. In our room the windowsill was filthy with cigarette ash, we were given a single duvet for a double bed. The chest of draws was falling apart, the communal areas just stank of cigarette smoke. The few nights we were there in our private room we had people next door to us being obnoxiously loud until about 3 o clock. This place might be really cheap but its not worth it, spend a little more and stay somewhere else.

Checking in was not a problem left my luggage in but when I went to pick it up and go to my bed, I realised that when I went to collect my bad was but in a chair on basement etc it's not a safe place in there for you to leave your bag if you are checking in later etc the room were I was smelled so bad. Bedshits didn't seem to be changed. The shower facilities not very good. I understand is a hostel and it won't have the 5 start getting but it dosent look any thing to the photo a on their website. Secure door fron were I was sleeping constantly left open which worried me a bit as strangers could get!!! in etc.. when I left early in the morning was no one available I know it was a sign saying that someone will be available at reception 10.30 am.which I felt wasn't right plus I found get my refund money back fir a lock thst I had to buy to lock my luggage on a locker which I think is not right so I got the lock. In all I didn't had a satisfactory experience at all..

I generally like hostels. This works, as a very basic "home base", a bit noisy and cheap. For me, my two night stay was bad enough so that I will be avoiding this particular place in the future. . Two major problems: no one said anything about the building currently being under construction. That a bit before 8am, hammer and saws directly outside the building would be going off. I understand, but let your guests know.. And then, around 8:30am as I am getting dressed (single top floor room) a construction worker literally steps onto the roof next to the room's window. There were no curtains or anything by the way, just a window. He literally opens the window and goes to start working on it (??) while I have to yell to ask him to please stop, come back for this in ten minutes, I am getting dressed here... Terrible experience! Again, if anyone had thought to mention this possible effect of construction work, then I would have made sure to be out of the room before then... When I quickly finished and went down to the front room, the doors to that area were all completely locked/room inside was dark. So I had no one to immediately ask and confront about this uncomfortable situation... Rather than stay the next night, I grabbed my bags and went elsewhere!

8/10 Very good

Taking one of the few - only? -double rooms, they even splashed out on a new water-boiler for us, so we could have a morning coffee....

Not worth the money :/
Great location but really terrible accommodation. The private room was literally just a bed with a foot of space around it, no exaggeration! There was a window in the roof with no curtain so the room was super bright which made it impossible to sleep. And to top things off, the walls were paper thin so we could hear everything happening in the dorms anyway which sort of defeats the point of going private! Would not stay again but staff friendly and location good, just not worth the price at all !

8/10 Very good

Great for the price. Everything basic but clean. Friendly staff and convenient location.

Avoid
The booking in procedure was slow due to the request for ID, Date of Birth etc. and the card machine would not work. The room was a basic small room with a double bed with no tea making facilities, TV or wardrobes in the room. There was a skylight with no shade so the sun beat down on us at 6am. The shared toilets and showers were filthy and the other guests woke us up at 3am sitting on the stairs outside our room smoking. We paid over £50 for this and that was four times what it was worth.Avoid unless they are only charging £10 per person.
