Helsinki is a nice place with plenty of museums and parks. It also has many theatres and concert venues but they have frequently dark nights, so check before you book that there is something on. It is a fairly expensive compared to other capitals

Nice luch place near - Pompier (dog friendly) and enjoy coffee and cake at any of the cafe on the near by street. Also market square near for food and boat to Suomenlinna.
