Eyam Hostel
The hostel is located on the hills in the woodlands, 10 mins walking distance via footpath actoss the fields to the town. Bed, sink, toilet and the showers provided, so all what you need for your travelling on budget. Self catering/kitchen is in the next building. Cqr park is located downhill, but you can drive up, unpack your stuff, and drive back to leave the car for overnight

Could do with the fire doors being quiet close as the constant banging of them in the late evening is incredibly loud

Comfy and good value-for-money
Lovely stay. The hostel is in a good location for hiking and climbing.
Very friendly staff. Good value-for-money food. Had the whole bunkroom to myself which was nice!
Only downsides were lack of lockers for when you're out and about and would like things to be locked up; and that one of the food options labelled as vegan wasn't fully suitable for vegans, though this was mentioned proactively by the staff before serving, rather than finding out after-the-fact.
Overall a great stay.

Stayed with my son in coach house room 12 with a shared shower and toilet just outside the room. The bunks were comfortable and OK for 1 night. Breakfast was worth having as there is nowhere nearby to get a meal early morning.

Plague village historical
Very popular with a rapid turnaround of guests as I think is normal for YHA places. My first time (I thought I was booking a hotel) and it was better than my expectations. The facilities were acceptable and the staff very hardworking and friendly. Its a cross between B&B and a hotel but never quite feels right. The location is a good base if you have transport.
