We had a weekend in the lake for wslking . The rooms where very small and could do with updating bathroom door would not close . Other than that very friendly very good breakfast and the beer was good .

Great little pub
We enjoyed our 2 night stay (Friday-Sunday), the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious and the pub atmosphere at night was brilliant. Only criticism was the local shop gets its delivery around 7am and it was noisy with cages being unloaded seeing as our room was above the entrance, but that’s not the pubs fault and didn’t bother us as it ensured we were up for the breakfast. Hawkshead is a lovely little village, there are a few shops and 4 pubs, we ate in 2 of the pubs and couldn’t find fault with the food.

Ambling in Ambleside.
For a walking break it was great, good location, good food, and helpful friendly staff. The only criticism bearing in mind it's an old building was the room was on the small side and the electric shower was telephone box size with not much power, but that said would stay there again.

Friendly hotel in the heart of Hawkshead
We had a great stay at the kings arms. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Lovely cosy pub with open fire. Huge breakfast included. Food in the restaurant is superb, great specials board. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Free parking very close to the hotel.

The Allinson's
A really friendly welcome and stay which cannot be faulted. We all enjoyed it so much. The location is so perfact for the beautiful village and the arrangements for the car parking were excellent. A really quaint old hostellry very clean comfortable.
