If being by the water is a major draw, Pevensey Bay Beach is a spot you might want to check out, located 1.3 mi (2.2 km) from central Pevensey. Enjoy the sunset by the shore at Eastbourne Beach.
The Bay Lodge was exactly what I hoped for - very reasonably priced, no frills accommodation, a friendly family-oriented atmosphere, (being a small concern allows for a much more personalised service), and good quality breakfast with more than adequate options available - all in all the perfect launchpad for my week in Eastbourne.
A note of realism - if you're hoping for the Ritz Carlton this is not the place for you. If, however, you want budget accommodation done well in a classic English...

We have just had a two night stay at The View Hotel. Its location was fantastic for us as we were going to 2 gigs a few minutes walk away. Easy to park the car out the front in the bays (a few pounds a day). Our room was lovely, upgraded to king size and part sea view. Breakfast to die for..everything you could possibly want. It wasn’t a problem for us as we were out till late…but it’s Christmas party season and on both nights parties were banging till midnight …so no early night folks as the...

We had an amazing stay and the hosts were very attentive from the minute we arrived to when we left and nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and really clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were lovely. We will definitely visit again and this would be the only place we would stay in Eastbourne.

A one night stay whilst visiting the area on business. Staff very friendly and welcoming, and very helpful. I was able ot a silly arrange a late checkout to give me time to change after my meeting before getting the train home. The room was large and well appointed, very comfortable with a huge wet room bathroom. Room was spotlessly clean, bed very comfortable, and the room had a sea view (the hotel is right on the beach!) A lovely hotel which was recently renovated. The staff are brilliant and super helpful. Although we did not use the restaurant it looked very good. There was a beautiful cocktail bar too.
Our room was on the 4th floor and reached by a gorgeous old lift complete with seats!! The room itself was a little shabby in parts but the views were magnificent. Bathroom was large and very nice. Excellent coffee in the rooms and they all come with access to Netflix etc.
Would definitely stay here again....

This was the third time my wife and I have stayed at Wingrove House and we enjoyed it just as much as before. The food was excellent (both the breakfasts and the dinner), the rooms clean and well maintained with stunning views from ours across to Alfriston church.
The staff were very polite and eager to ensure we had an enjoyable stay.
We would throughly recommend.

This guesthouse was perfect in every way. The single room was a little on the small side, but I expected that, and it was immaculate. By which, I mean spotless and without fault. Keith, who welcomed me to the A&V was the perfect host, and when I had to be up earlier than normal for Eastbourne Extreme I was attending, he cooked breakfast earlier so I wouldn't miss out. Basically, everything I wanted, I got with a smile. And it is 100 feet from the beach. I'm sure there are other places in...

We only stayed for the one night but we will definitely be returning. The owner/staff are lovely, the room and amenities were superb and the breakfast is the best we’ve ever had, cooked perfectly and it just tasted lovely. Can’t recommend this place enough. Hastings Old Town is a great little place too.

To fully appreciate the town’s historical landmarks and cultural offerings, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During your trip, you can explore the stunning Pevensey Castle, enjoy the delightful pebble beach, and relax in the friendly atmosphere of local bars and dining spots. This budget-friendly destination offers great value for money, making it an ideal choice for those looking to experience rich history and charming culture without breaking the bank.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Pevensey, visit the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window section on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you could find out about flash sales and exclusive promotions, ensuring you don't miss opportunities to save on cheap Pevensey hotel deals. Additionally, the Smart Shoppingopens in new window tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so if rates drop or rooms become available, you'll be among the first to know for your last-minute getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal for your stay in a Pevensey hotel. If you're seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and can sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer a more budget-friendly option.
Consider your location: Opting for accommodation closer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often tends to come with higher prices. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels located in less central areas or neighbourhoods, allowing you to balance cost with ease of access to the sites you wish to visit. You might also explore independent hotels situated further out, which are more likely to provide a more authentic and affordable experience.
