The Commando Memorial in Lochaber, Scotland is another one of those spots I kept on "photography" list. This place has a charming atmosphere and breathtaking views, but it's always busy with visitors or the conditions are not right. This time I was lucky for a beautiful sunset at the background and the temperature kept most of the people away, so I was there almost alone. If you have a moment, make sure you google this listed monument, as it is fascinating reading.

"We had the most delightful stay at the Whispering Pines Hotel. Spotless hotel with delightful and polite staff. The night was very stormy but we felt warm and cosy and despite the numerous times the electricity cut out the generators kicked in and we were back on with power with no fuss. My only criticism is the meal prices were way too high and the choices were too limited"

"We booked to stay in a suite which was a great choice. Beautiful, newly renovated and well appointed. The bed was comfortable, lovely large shower with toiletries and fluffy towels, a neat kitchenette with fridge coffee machine kettle and microwave also fully stocked with plates and cutlery. The restaurant was closed due to renovations but breakfast was served to our room. With booking a suite we had a dining area and lounge which made all the difference. It would be easy to spend a week here and it not cost too much with having all the facilities. Highly recommend staying!"
