Beautiful location
It turn out to be an excellent place for us. Clean, spacious, practical and convenient. This place is located right at the beach with great sitting and lounging areas. Bar and restaurant is good. And Mayan ruins are a walking distance.

6/10 Good

Read Carefully:
Overall, my stay was good, but there are a few things to know before booking: - The hotel is located in an eco-friendly national park, and there’s a Mexican Military checkpoint where guards will search for plastic, food, or drinks, including water which are not allowed per city policy. - After 5 PM, you’ll need your reservation and ID in hand to pass through. - Additionally, the beach closes after dark, and guards will politely ask you to return to the hotel. You are not allowed to walk around the beach at dark. You could tho, stay at the hotel waterfront beach club/ beach bar area. - The military officers were generally courteous and respectful. - A highlight is that the hotel is within walking distance of the national ruins, which was very convenient. - Although it’s relatively close to downtown, you’ll need a car or motorcycle to reach move around. - If you’re looking for a party scene, this may not be the best choice. While the hotels in this area have bars and restaurants, the nightlife is more vibrant about a 10-minute drive south, which isn't walkable. Yet, you must have CASH to enter the ruins area. - The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. - The rooms are somewhat dated but functional. Everything, including the AC and tap water, worked well enough.

This property was stunning with beach access that was absolute perfection. The staff were amazing, and they were attentive to all our needs. We really enjoyed the serenity of this property. If you’re looking for a property to get away from the hustle and bustle of your busy life, this hotel is for you. It’s a true oasis of peace. Just make sure to note that there is not a tv in the room so bring your own device (iPad etc), we used our phones. There isn’t night life entertainment on the north side of the beach which we were thankful for. If you’re looking to party I suggest you find a hotel on the south side of the beach. Alito Hotel Tulúm is a place my husband and I plan on returning to. One last note, you will need transportation to get around. This hotel is not in walking distance to anything except the ruins (15) minutes. We used taxi services on the days we ventured out and it worked out for us. You will have to pay the Jaguar Park fee on the days you go and come from the property as well. It’s a small fee of $3 each person I believe. The property is well worth the stay and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a place to truly relax.

Had a wonderful time with my adult kids! They loved the beach bungalows and I was happy to be on the 2nd floor in the main area. AC was wonderful when coming in from the beach. Water pressure was not good but understandable for the location. Beach was beautiful and being able to take a boat from the shore to go snorkeling was a bonus. The staff and taxi drivers were wonderful!!!

Would not recommend! The pictures doesn’t match the rooms! We booked for 2 week bed rooms and we got one full size bed. You can hear things crawling on your roof and the service is horrible!

I really enjoyed the little hut we stayed in, it has just the necessities. No tv which is ok since we were out and about. We had A/c which was more important. Beach access and restaurant. In order to get to hotel we had to go through a checkpoint to make sure we didn't have plastic bottles since the hotel was in a conservation area. There is a entrance fee to go in to the conservation area as well. The mayan ruins are a 10 min walk away. The hotel has bikes to rent. All in all i loved it! The staff was friendly and attentive. Anything i asked for was available and brought to me like towels and a blanket. Room service was really good. I did point out a concern about the wooden walkway that was in need of repair, many wooden planks were popped out or sunk in making it a safety concern for someone walking not paying attention. If we wanted to go to an oxxo or store we would have to go back to town which was outside the conservation area and if we got back before 5 we would have to go thru checkpoint again to check for plastic. All in all 4/5 only because of the repairs needed on the walkway and the lack of accessibility to a store.

The food and cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced. The included breakfast was a nice bonus to the stay. The rooms were kept clean. We brought a lot of sand in the room daily and housekeeping did a great job keep the floors clean. David, the manager, was exceptional! The front desk staff always helped us get our taxi and anything else we needed. The property is nicer than photographs shown on the site. I’d not only visit again but recommend friends who want a nice beachfront, to check out Alito.

You have to pay for water there cause you cant have plastic bottles. And they charge you 5.00$ a can of water . So no never be back . Terrible

Everyone is extremely nice and helpful to any accommodations or concerns you have. The property is beautiful with less foot traffic on the beach. The rooms are adorable with a big bathroom and natural light. There was a bar and dining option on the hotels beach front.

We appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the vibe was super relaxed, which is just what we were after. The staff was nice, and, to addressed the couple of requests we had promptly and we felt overall, it was a good value. We were there a year ago and noticed the improvements, including air conditioning in the casita we stayed in and stronger wifi signal. We felt the restaurant was excellent, we ate there every morning for the included breakfast and every evening. There was a nice variety, we mostly had fish but felt everything was really good. It was a little challenging to get to, our shuttle drivers from Cancun weren't familiar with navigating the area. It's a National Park area now, so there weren't any vendors and plastic bottles aren't sold or allowed on the beach and the Park Policia patrolled the area frequently. We will go back.
