2 day business trip

Never been in an IBIS hotel before. This was very clean and in great condition. Room was perfect. Staff very friendly and helpful. A perfect place to say for either business or tourism

continental breakfast was a bit limited

OK

I only stayed one night and although the room was very small it was adequate.
David, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

I had a good stay at the hotel. The only issue I had was on my first morning I had to take a cold shower as there was an issue with the plumbing. I let the reception know when I went out that morning, by the time I got back in the evening the issue had been resolved. I would stay again.
John, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Was clean, staff were friendly and responsive. Internet service fluctuated
Ricky, 6-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Clean and modern but, basic. Bar, but no restaurant in the evening, so it's Deliveroo/Just-Eat etc
Neil, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good overall experience. Great staff, handy location for buses into town. Good breakfast with all the usual items available. Clean and modern. Room well equipped (fan, hairdryer etc) and a comfy bed. Only down side was the room was very small (You have to duck around the telly and lean over to get to the other side of the bed) and there isn’t a side table or 2 chairs or a desk. Just enough storage for 2 people for the 4 nights we stayed.
Julia, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

Room

The room was really small and on a main road. The traffic was loud all Night. The hotel was clean, I had noisy “neighbours “ and had a competition the following morning so would have benefited from a room away from the road.

Never slept, could everyone in and out and conversation from next door and above
Terry, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

In need of a little work. Not as clean as it used to be. Different staff too. Could do with air conditioning, expecially in bedrooms. Nice to see cooked breakfast.
Lilian, 5-night trip

8/10 Very good

Not bad for the money

Not bad at all, the only negative.... breakfast was nothing fantastic and no hot options. Basic but i managed. Overall ok
Steven, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

An affordable hotel in a convenient location for the University. However our room was tired. The bathroom was very old - I daren’t use the shower for the state of the tiles. It was a bed for the night at a low price but not remotely clean and needed updating sadly.
Pippa, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

No food

I would not have stayed here if I had known there was no food available diner time or evenings and there was no hot breakfast just continental. Also only bottled beer at the bar so quite expensive for a pint . The place apart from that was good enough.
david, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

Basic

Stayed here for one night as we were in birmingham for a concert at the Utilita arena. The hotel is okay. The main reception area looks quite nice, clean and modern. The rooms however are basic and a little worn. The bed was clean, but very uncomfortable, if you like a very firm mattress then this is the place for you. Breakfast was basic, bacon and sausages and beans in hot trays, not particularly appetising to be honest. Overall an okay albeit basic stay. We wouldn’t return.
Maisie, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The bathroom was very hot and the room (207) very noisy, was woken at 5am by deliveries / bin men.
1-night trip

6/10 Good

No evening food

Disappointed with no hot breakfast and no evening food had to fend for ourselves. I expected both when I booked or I wouldn’t have booked there .
david, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Shower not very good taps broken no body gel
Ismail, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Ok

Room was ok. Bed was not what I would of expected mattress did not a sheet over and looked old dirty. Instead a mattress topper had been placed on bed with sheet around it. The room itself had a few repairs done to it that were not what I would call satisfactory
2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Cancelled by Hotel

Was supposed to be staying in this hotel Monday-Wednesday. My stay was cancelled by the hotel on the Friday before. This was around 2 weeks ago. I have still not received a refund from the hotel or hotels.com. Hotels.com offered an alternative on the Friday and I was told this was the only option but this hotel didn’t work for me and I asked for a refund and was told this would be processed. I ended up booking another hotel at my own cost. At 4:30pm on the day I was supposed to check in, hotels.com offered 3 other hotel options, however, obviously this was too late.

Not Very Impressed

I booked this hotel as it advertised free parking. Not impressed to get an email 2 days before arrival to say there might not be parking as they were holding a function. When I rang to ask what alternative arrangements were being made for paying guests with suitcases, the attitude was basically "tough...you'll have to park elsewhere". I took the train in the end...just as well because the carpark was full and there was no alternative parking anywhere close. Check in was efficient but very impersonal...no welcome smile or greeting. Room was clean but cramped, a bed and that was it. Fine for a couple of nights but wouldn't want to stay for longer.
